Attack On Titan Second Season Promotional Video Revealed

The long awaited anime, Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) season 2 reveal the first promotional video on Saturday, December 24. At the end of the PV also reveal the release date of the tv series that coming in April 2017.

The first season of Attack on Titan anime tv series or known as Shingeki no Kyojin premiere in 2013, that also boost the manga sales with total sales 15,933,801 copies in 2013 which make the manga in second position for the 2013 best selling manga in Japan.

Top 10 Best Selling Manga 2016 in Japan

Since 2009, every at the end of year, I always posted top 10 best selling manga in Japan,  and this is the time for 2016 to get the rank.

As usual, Eiichiro Oda's manga One Piece get the top position with 12,314,326 copies which the sales duration is from November 23, 2015 to November 20, 2016. Second position reach by Assassination Classroom with 6,887,192 sales. This year, One Piece sales is really far from the second position.

Rurouni Kenshin Ibun: Ashitarō Zenka Ari Spinoff Manga Was Released

On 4 November 2016, the first of two chapter Rurouni Kenshin spinoff manga titled Rurouni Kenshin Ibun: Ashitarō Zenka Ari (Rurouni Kenshin Variant Story: The Criminal Ashitarō) has been released in the December issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine.

This spinoff manga is a project that created by Nobuhiro Watsuki who draw the manga and his wife Kaoru Kurosaki who create the story.

The manga tells story about Ashitarō Hasegawa, a criminal who live in the Tokyo prison. After out from prison he meet Aran Inoue, a boy his age and a girl who waiting him.








This manga is not the first Rurouni Kenshin spinoff manga, previously Rurouni Kenshin spinoff manga titled "Honō wo Suberu -Rurouni Kenshin: Uramaku-" (Controlling Flame -Rurouni Kenshin: Hidden Chapter-) has been released in 2014 which tell story about hishio Makoto and Yumi Komagata.

Second Promotional Video of Kuroko Basketball The Movie Last Game Revealed

The second promotional video for  Kuroko Basketball The Movie: Last Game was uploaded to its Youtbe channel on October 13, 2016 and also revealed on the official website for the film. The PV with duration 22 seconds show characters of Jabberwock team, they are Nash gold Jr and Jason Silver.

Kuroko Basketball The Movie: Last Game (Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game) is adaptation of  Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game manga which is this movie is a sequel of Kuroko Basketball tv anime series. This film scheduled to release in spring 2017.

This film tell story about Vorpal Swords team which the member is 5 of Generation of Miracles or known as Kiseki no Sedai plus Kagami Taiga and Tetsuya Kuroko who plays against Jabberwock, an American street basketball team.

Besides this film, Kuroko no Basuke also get three compilation films, which is  Kuroko no Basuke Winter Cup Sōshū-hen: Kage to Hikari (Winter Cup Compilation ~Shadow and Light~), Winter Cup Sōshū-hen ~Namida no Saki e~ (Winter Cup Compilation ~Beyond the Tears~), and Winter Cup Sōshū-hen ~Tobira no Mukō~ (Winter Cup Compilation ~Crossing the Door~).

The Anthem of the Heart (2015) Review

The Anthem of the Heart or known as Beautiful Word, Beautiful World (Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterun Da.) which was released in 2015 tells story about Jun Naruse, a high school girl who has problem with communication because of bad experience in the past.

Actually, when Jun is a child, she is a cheerful and talkative girl until because of her talkativeness, her mother and father divorce, because Jun father's affair uncovered.
The problems that occurred plus the attitude of her parents who also blame Jun's talkativeness, make Jun blames himself and she rarely talk afther that and cannot express her feelings, even with her Mother.

Fortunately, when in high school, her teacher appointed him with 3 others of her classmate become committee to create a performing arts for their class. The meeting with the 3 classmate make Jun characters changed, slowly she can shout her feelings. Not just Jun who changed, but also her friends who actually also has problem to express their feelings to others with words.

This heartwarming film created by the staff who also created Ano Hana, also presents some warming song in the end of film which can make delivery of this film messages more intense to viewers.

The Anthem of the Heart not just suitable for high school students viewers but also adults viewers so they can get a nostalgic feels because everyone has experience for how harbored the feelings, and feel relieved when to be honest to shout out of all the feelings.

One Punch Man Season 2 Confirmed

The 2015 popular tv anime series that adapted from manga with the same title, One Punch Man, get second season. This news announced by the staff and cast for One Punch Man tv anime series at the event called One Punch Man Fall Festival.

Unfortunately, there is no information about the release date for the new season. The staff also announced One Punch Man will get mobile game in 2017.

Even though the release date is not yet announced, this news answered the curiosity of One Punch Man fans about the continuation of this anime.


The origin of this series start from a webcomic that released in 2009 by ONE, while in 2012 adapted and remake by illustrator Yusuke Murata into manga. The manga, currently has 11 volumes.

Slice of Life Anime from Summer 2016 Season You Should to Watch

Many summer anime that has reach the final season, and this summer season apparently is a paradise for slice of life genre fans.

There are three slice of life anime genre that I recommended for you to watch from summer season. You can count it Re Life, Orange, and Handa-kun.

1. Re Life Anime

If you are around 27 years old, and unemployed or jobless, this anime is suitable for you :lol , unlucky that is my condition when first time watch this anime, haha.
Re Life tell story about a 27 years old NEET(Not in Education, Employment, or Training), Kaizaki Arata. Actually he ever has permanent job after graduate but it is only survive for 3 months because he get some problem with his workplace. After quit from the job, he only get a part time job until he 27 years old.
At that time he get offering from Re Life agent, to become object experiment to back into high school student. The goal is to improve social skill and self confidence of Arata.
This is not time travelling, he only eat some pills which has effect make a person's appearance like a teenager.
Although this anime full of comedy, sometimes there are a serious life lessons that can get from Re Life story.

2. Orange Anime

Same like Re Life this anime tell story about a group of 26-27 years old, who send a letter to themself in the past 10 years, which when they are high school student. The letter is to prevent and save their friend, Kakeru Naruse who died because suicide.

Different from Re Life which has many comedy element on the story, Orange fill with drama, romance and tragedy event which make this story really sad and tragic.

This anime adapted from Ichigo Takano manga with same title, and also has get live action film in 2015.

3. Handa-kun Anime

If you ever watch Barakamon, you maybe familiar with name Handa Sei. Handa-kun anime is a prequel story from Barakamon. It's set six years before the event of Barakamon, which Handa Sei is a high school student.

In the time, Handa Sei character described as a boy who has negative thinking to the surrounding environment. He always thinking he is the most hated person in the school or think as victims of bullying, but otherwise his friend is really admired him, for the beginning because he is the young talented calligrapher, but after that because many misunderstanding that happened in the story, their friend really admired him as a kind, cool person and others positive image.

It is really funny and also feel exasperated to see the misunderstanding between Handa and his friend.

Berserk Anime TV Get New Arc in Spring 2017

The question from my previous post, is Berserk anime film will only have 12 episodes, answered.

On the ending of episode 12 which aired on Aniplus, there is an announcement that Berserk next season will be scheduled in Spring 2017. The Aniplus fanspage , state Berserk will return in April 2017.

Although it is still around 7 months, but this news will be a good news for Berserk fans to watch the continuation of Kentarou Miura's Berserk manga adaptation.

Before this news revealed, I think Berserk anime continuation will be OVA or another movie.

Haikyu!! Season 3 Third Promo Video Reveal Opening Theme

The third promotional video for season 3 of voleyball anime adapted from Haruichi Furudate Haikyu!! manga, Haikyu!! Karasuno Kōkō VS Shiratorizawa Gakuen Kōkō reveal the opening theme song "Hikariare" by Burnout Syndromes.

The Haikyu new season will be released this fall on October 7, 2016 on Japan television. You can watch all Haikyu promo video in the official website for the anime.

Latest Shinkai Film, Your Name On the Top Japan Box Office

Less than a week from the premiere of Your Name (Kimi no Na wa.) film, on the 27-28 August the film earned $ 9.1 million and get on the top of japan box office.

The latest film of Makoto Shinkai, Your Name  (Kimi no Na wa.) distributed by Toho on 310 screens in Japan which get premiere on August 26, 2016. The film expected to get $ 60 million.

Natsume and Nyanko Sensei will back on anime tv series after the anime Natsume's Book of Friends or known as Natsume Yūjin-Chō get fifth season, scheduled on October 4, 2016.

Bleach Live Action Film Scheduled in 2018 Starring Sota Fukushi as Ichigo Kurosaki

After the news of final chapter shonen Tite Kubo manga Bleach that will release in August 22, there is a big announcement that the manga will get live action film adaptation in 2018.

The film starring Sota Fukushi as Ichiogo Kurosaki and directed by Shinsuke Sato. As we know Sota Fukushi playing as Gentaro Kisaragi in Kamen Rider Fourze film, while Shinsuke Sato is the director of Gantz live action.

2016 Berserk Anime Only Get 12 Episode ?

The anime news site , ANN reported on Friday that official website for the Kentarou Miura's 2016 anime adaptation Berserk listed two Blu Ray Disc box sets for the anime with total 12 episodes.

Still not confirmed, there is another more episode for berserk anime series 2016 or not.

The Blu ray disc will be available on October 28 (eps 1-6) and December 21 (eps 7-12). The boxsets also contain bonus item, which the first box sets will contain a script and storyboard booklet, a package drawn by character designer Hisashi Abe, and a soundtrack alternate takes CD, while the second still not confirmed for the bonus item.

The Berserk manga first published in 1989 and until now has 38 volume. The manga get anime series adaptation in 1997, get the trilogy anime movie in 2012-2013. The anime series get the sequel in 2016 and has aired 6 episode so far.

For the viewer outside japan, Berserk 2016 anime air on Crunchyroll and Aniplus TV.

Sword Art Online Adapted into Live Action TV Series

On Wednesday, ANN reported that popular anime and novel about virtual reality MMORPG, Sword Art Online get live action TV series.
Skydance Television, an american company that get rights for the global live action.

The script for the film will be written by Laeta Kalogridis who write Ghost in the Shell Film.
Skydance still not confirm the release date of the live action film  but they plans to fast-track the launch of SAO live action tv series.

The company also planning to launch SAO virtual reality experience through Skydance Interactive after the tv series.

So, this adaptiion live action tv series will be a bad news or good news for SAO fans ?

New Berserk Anime will be TV Series That Release in July

The new anime adaptation of Kentarou Miura's Berserk manga, was announced on the official website for new Berserk anime project, that will be released in July as anime TV series titled Berserk.

In December 2015, the promo video for this anime project revealed with duration 60 seconds. The author Kentarou Miura also commented the anime project will tell story Guts as Black Swordman.



The manga get anime tv series adaptation in 1997 with total 25 episodes and the trilogy movie Golden Age Arc in 2012-2013.
