For you who are curious about the Top 10 Best Selling Manga in Japan 2011, I have the list for the top 10.  As I expected, One Piece manga get the first position with 37,996,373 total copies. Unlucky for bleach manga this year because thrown from Top 5 for last year to posititon 8 this year and of total sales decreased slightly from last year. Different with bleach, Blue Exorcist rocketed to position 3.
For publisher achievement, Shueisha with their shounen manga such as One Piece, Naruto, Blue Exorcist, and Toriko still dominate the top 5.

First Film of Berserk Golden Age Arc Movie Reveal Ending Theme Song Video

The first film of Berserk Golden Age Arc movie, Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen I: Haō no Tamago or known as Berserk Golden Age Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler reveal short version of ending theme song video for Utsukushikimono which suing by Ai, a Japanese singer who born in Los Angeles.
The film itself will be released on February 4, 2012 in Japan and Berserk Golden Age Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler is the first film of trilogy that retelling of the Golden Age arc of Kentarou Miura's manga.

Recorder and Randsell First Impression

Recorder and Randsell or known as Recorder to Randoseru is a short anime with 3 minutes length tell a story abut daily life of Miyagawa siblings. Atsushi an elementary student boy who has appearances like an adult, and his sister Atsumi, a highschool girl who has appearances like an elementary student.
Before watch this anime, I think Recorder and Randsell will be like Usagi Drop and just look from the image above I did not expect at all if a man who bring recorder is an elementary student.
I think along story of this anime will showing misunderstanding people to Atsushi and Atsumi who they are an elementary student and a highschool student, that's where comedy comes from.

If you watch the ending of episode 2, seen scene they are holding hands each other, I think this anime is not just show a comedy or ironi about their life but has some moral message.
After all, Recorder to Randoseru is not bad to watch as 3 minutes anime.

Gyo OVA Trailer

Gyo, an anime that adapted from horror manga with the same title by Junji Ito reveal the 13 second trailer before the anime will be released on February 15, 2012. The anime itself will be packaged in the OVA form.

Gyo tell story about strange, legged fish appear in Okinawa in southern Japan, and the creatures portend a horrific change for the animal life in the area. Tadashi and and his girlfriend Kaori find themselves trapped on an island, facing a fate worse than death. (ANN)

First Indonesian Mangaka Published by Shogakukan

Shogakukan publisher will publish Kokkyonaki Gakuen (Campus Dwellers Without Borders), a manga created by Vivian Wijaya. This is the first time Indonesian mangaka which the manga can published by Shogakukan.
Kokkyonaki Gakuen is a manga with slice of life comedy genre that tells story about 15 years old Hajime Tomono who try to adapt in his school which the school students come from various countries. The story inspired from Vivian personal experience when she school in United Kingdom. The manga will publish in 3 language (Japanese, English and Bahasa Indonesia).
As quoted from ANN, "Born in Tokyo, Wijaya loved manga since childhood, but her doctor family discouraged her from pursuing a career as a manga artist. Unsatisfied with her job as a medical doctor, Wijaya attended the Jakarta-based Machiko Manga School and Tokyo's Nippon Designers School to pursue her dream. After graduation, Wijaya's teachers told the aspiring author that she had little chance of becoming a successful manga artist. However, Wijaya served an apprenticeship with the Hayate the Combat Butler manga creator Kenjirou Hata that helped her to improve and commercialize her works. The Indonesian manga creator's next project will target high school students, according to The Japan Times."

Steps taken by Vivian will make other Indonesian mangaka became more excited and maybe will trigger a lot of Indonesian people to work as mangaka. Go Vivian you can achieve your dreams.
